I have received many emails and phone calls over the last few weeks. There is some confusion about three specific issues that require clarification. 

CLARIFICATIONS 

Pro Rotax 

The Formula Kart Pro Rotax class minimum age is 15 by December 31. 2010. The Formula Kart Pro Rotax class is not part of the official RMC program, and therefore RMC age restrictions do not apply. The Pro Rotax class will be run during the FWT Formula Kart event weekend, not the FWT Rotax Max Challenge event weekend. You can find a payout schedule for the Pro classes here

TaG Masters 

Formula TaG Masters is for drivers 32 and up or drivers 25 and up if the driver weighs a minimum of 200lb with normal safety gear. IAME Leopard (“old” & “new”) , Rotax Senior, RoK TT, Sonics, etc are all eligible engines. See specs at

IAME and the "new" Leopard

2010 FWT IAME Senior and Junior, and FWT TaG Masters classes will allow the “new” Leopard”. At this time, based on the Manufacturers data, we do not anticipate any weight difference. We are in the process of evaluating any performance difference and will announce any weight adjustments if and when necessary.

DD2 Masters 

The DD2 Masters class is for drivers 32 and older, and the driver must be 32 prior to January 1, 2011. This class will be combined with but scored separately from the DD2 class. There is no RMCGF transfer spot available for the FWT DD2 Masters class. The RMCGF transfer spot will be awarded to the Points Champion of the DD2 class.

CORRECTIONS

Mini Max restrictor

The only approved FWT Mini Max restrictor is Rotax part #267 535. This is the blue anodized restrictor. Formula Kart Productions will not provide these to the competitor. Formula Kart Productions will not have these available at the events. Each competitor is responsible to acquire this restrictor and have it checked for compliance before participation in any FWT event.

IAME Senior weight 

IAME Senior minimum weight is 360lb

DD2 Masters weight 

DD2 Masters minimum weight is 387lb

CAPPED CLASSES ALMOST FULL 

As of today, November 20, Mini Max only has 7 spots left. Rotax Masters only has 9 spots left. If you know anyone who intends to race those classes you should tell them to register now.
